Pa. Landfill Receives Permit Modification

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has approved a permit modification for the Blue Ridge Landfill to increase the average daily volume of trash that the site accepts from 1,450 tons to 1,700 tons.

According to a press release, the 250-ton per day increase will have minimal impact on the environment and only slightly increase truck traffic. The daily limit on the amount of trash the landfill can receive remains at 2,000 tons.
