Officials Determine Odors Emitted from Bridgeton Landfill Don't Cause Cancer

Odors emitted from Bridgeton Landfilll in St. Louis, Missouri can exacerbate health issues but do not cause cancer.

Exposure has caused residents to face a exacerbated health issues and daily challenges as a result of the odors. Missouri's health department found that breathing sulfur-based compounds “may have aggravated existing respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions,” and caused headaches, nausea and fatigue, according to news reports.
