The Town Council approved on first reading an ordinance that would annex the Republic Lake County Construction and Demolition Landfill at its March 14 meeting.
The Council also approved a fiscal plan for the annexation. Per state ordinance the town must hold a public hearing during which public remonstrance may be made. The hearing has been set for May. After the hearing the Council may then pass the ordinance on second reading.
