Another Fire at Poplar View Landfill in Tennessee

Emergency crews were called to the Poplar View Landfill on Thursday night after a fire broke out around 10:30 p.m.

Rural Metro responders arrived to fight the fire but could not use water for fear of runoff into the nearby Holston River. This is not the first fire at the Knox County, Tenn. site. 

Smoke from the fire caused issues among Knoxville, Tenn. residents on Friday.
