Two Trash Haulers Plead Guilty to Bribing Baltimore Landfill Employees

Two former employees of a trash hauling business pleaded guilty this week to bribing Baltimore landfill employees, federal prosecutors said.

Quentin Turgot Glenn, 49, of Hanover, who owned Glenn Services, LLC, a trash hauling business, and Jessie Lee Wilson, Jr., 40, of Baltimore, a truck driver for the company, pleaded guilty to paying city of public works employees in cash to pay cash bribes in exchange for disposal fees at the Quarantine Road Landfill, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorneys office in Baltimore.

Between July 1, 2014 to May 1, 2015, prosecutors said Glenn Services paid more than $5,000 in bribes, allowing them to avoid disposal fees.

Commercial haulers must purchase a landfill permit and pay a waste disposal fee of $67.50 per ton of trash deposited at the landfill.
