Chicago Sees High Levels of COVID in Wastewater

Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady says the agency is detecting high levels of COVID-19 in the city's wastewater systems.

Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Allison Arwady says the agency is detecting high levels of COVID-19 in the city's wastewater systems.

An increase in COVID-19 levels typically precedes a rise in illnesses, she indicated. The commissioner also noted that elevated COVID-19 levels have been detected at other municipalities throughout the United States.
