Reresco, a glass recycling company, has secured contracts with three Welsh councils to process glass collected from curbsides.

The collected glass will be processed at Recresco’s Cwmbran depot.

Recresco won new contracts with Merthyr Tydfil County Council and Powys County Council while Torgaen Council renewed its contract with the company. Glass collected from these councils will be processed and melted into new glass bottles and high-quality glass mineral wool insulation.

“We are proud to continue our long term committed support of Welsh waste management and recycling efforts,” said Fraser Macintyre, Recresco Business Development Manager.

"Investment at our Cwmbran facility in recent years into state-of-the-art sorting and processing equipment, places Recresco in a strong position to continue its ongoing support of Welsh communities in meeting their long-term environmental goals.”
