Recyclebank has reached commitments for its rewards-for-recycling program in 17 communities.

The new programs come in the form of new launches, multi-year contract renewals and expansions to additional areas, the New York City-based Recyclebank said in a news release.

This summer Recyclebank is launching or expanding programs in Pennsylvania (8), Florida (3), Illinois (2), North Carolina (2), Colorado and New Mexico.

Recyclebank cited a survey determining that 82 percent of its members said the program is influential in motivating them to recycle more.

Recyclebank operates programs in more than 300 communities in all 50 states.
