Mesa County Hazardous Waste Collection Gets New Processing Facility

The Mesa County Hazardous Waste Facility at the landfill is getting a 460,000 dollar makeover.

The facility processed 55,000 feet of fluorescent light bulbs, 11,000 gallons of oil and latex based paint and 60 tons of electric waste last year.

Until now, they did it all in a 200 square foot facility with no heat or electricity.
