Continuing to serve its sustainable consumer base with different green initiatives, Aldi has now rolled out a range of its own-brand recycled PET wine bottles.

The bottles, which feature a flat side, square shape which allows Aldi to pack 30% more bottles into a pallet, are made of 100% recycled PET. Customers can pick up the Chapter & Verse Shiraz and the Chapter & Verse Chardonnay in stores now (in the UK) after the new recycled bottles debuted on Global Recycling Day.

“We know shoppers are looking for greener, more sustainable products and our aim is to continue to deliver this, whilst offering great value and enhanced functionality. We’re pleased to be taking the next step in expanding our recyclable, eco-friendly range,” said Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK.
