In response to the difficulty MRFs have with contaminated loads that include wet materials or unacceptable materials like film and aseptic packaging and even sharps(!), the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) began developing Inbound Scrap Specifications and MRF Glass Specifications to help educate municipalities. Join this panel of experts to hear about these inbound specifications, and to get a better
understanding of the rationale behind inbound specifications and what the MRF 3-mix glass specifications constitute, i.e., what acceptable levels of contamination are, and what other factors might help determine the value of recycled material. Join the conversation and input into the process in this workshop approach.
