The AZEK Company Inc. (NYSE: AZEK) ("AZEK" or the “Company”), the industry-leading manufacturer of beautiful, low-maintenance and environmentally sustainable outdoor living products, including TimberTech® decking and railing, Versatex® and AZEK® Trim, and StruXure™ pergolas, announced that it has been named to USA Today’s first-ever list of America’s Climate Leaders, recognizing the Company’s reduction in greenhouse gas emissions between 2019 and 2021. 

Additionally, TimberTech by AZEK’s Advanced PVC wood-alternative decking collection was named a winner of Environment + Energy Leader’s 2023 Top Product of the Year Awards in recognition of its sustainability attributes, including being made from approximately 60% recycled content, recyclability at end-of-life through AZEK’s FULL-CIRCLE Recycling program and lower life cycle carbon footprint versus traditional wood decking.

Milwaukee, WI-based BCA Industries, an OEM with decades of experience that provides turnkey, closed-loop, recycling systems, has formed a division called LithiBatt which is now providing complete lithium ion (Li-ion) and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery recycling systems in collaboration with leading global partners. 

The turnkey systems offer various processing outcomes that include options for progressively smaller sizes of material shredding, as well as additional processing steps to generate higher value, battery-grade precursor cathode active material (pCAM) and “black mass,” which contains high amounts of graphite, lithium, manganese, cobalt, and nickel metals. These systems are designed to address the extraordinary safety requirements and proper VOC extraction needed.

Bioenergy Devco a leading provider in the design, engineering, construction, financing, and operation of advanced anaerobic digester systems, is thrilled to announce that Bioenergy Devco Maryland bioenergy Center Jessup, MD has been honored with the prestigious Top Project of the Year Award in the Environment + Energy Leader Awards program. This accolade recognizes Bioenergy Devco Maryland bioenergy Center Jessup, MD as an exemplary leader making great strides in energy or environmental management.

Bioenergy Devco's newest organics recycling facility, located on the Maryland Food Center campus in Jessup, MD, is the first anaerobic digester of its scale in the state. The facility is capable of recycling 110,000 tons of organics annually to produce approximately 312,000 MMBtu of renewable natural gas for energy and 16,575 tons of rich, fertile soil amendment for agricultural and other land use.

Fundamentally, the tool helps companies transition to a circular way of doing business, versus conventional linear business models.
