Officials: South Carolina Landfill Being Considered for Out-of-State Dumping

Henderson County is looking at five possible sides to dump its solid waste, and  the Twin Chimney's landfill in Honea Path is one of them, according to Public Works Assistant Co. Administrator Paula Gucker.

"We're starting to use our air space, our people power, and our equipment power more efficiently and more effectively," Gucker said. 

However she also said the amount of waste being brought to the Twin Chimney's landfill is not enough to cover the cost of operating it. A possible contract with Henderson County would change that.
