Single-Use Plastic Ban Approved by Sacramento City Council

The Sacramento City Council unanimously passed a ban on single-use plastic and paper bags Tuesday night.

Specific stores will be prohibited from handing out single-use bags to customers.

Stores will also be required to charge customers a minimum 10 cent fee to use recycled paper and reusable bags.
