Clearwater Solid Waste Official Resigns After Recycling Buckles

Clearwater, Fla.'s solid waste assistant director Bryant Johnson has resigned after the city failed to get recyclables to the proper location.

Interim City Manager Jennifer Piorrier received a tip that curbside recyclables were not being set to WM (Waste Management)'s facility. She asked Johnson about the situation, who said that materials were being transferred to the right locations.

Piorrier said she does not know how many tons of materials were sent to the plant versus WM's WTE facility.
