Waste and recycling firm Dinverno Group LLC has purchased Waste Management Inc.’s rubber-wheel trailer assets, expanding its Metro Detroit presence in the residential and construction waste hauling markets.

Madison Heights, Mich.-based Dinverno said in a news release it acquired the Waste Management of Michigan’s rubber-wheel trailer assets for an undisclosed amount. Dinverno said the Houston-based Waste Management targeted Dinverno because of its strength in service response and because Waste Management wanted to exit from this niche market.

The assets consist of rubber-wheel trailers and trucks.

"The purchase of this equipment will allow us to expand our rubber wheel division while still focusing on improving the excellent response time and service that our customers have come to appreciate," said Guido Dinverno, president of Dinverno Group.
