Area Disposal Buys Waste and Recycling Hauler Armstrong

Area Disposal Service Inc. has purchased Armstrong Disposal Service Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Peoria, Ill.-based Area Disposal said in a news release that Armstrong, based in Oakford, Ill., provides residential and commercial waste collection, roll-off and recycling service to customers in the central Illinois counties of Cass, Logan, Menard, Mason and Sangamon. The acquired company has been owned and operated by John and Charla Armstrong.

Area Disposal will blend Armstrong with its Buster Sanitation operation located in Jacksonvile, Ill.

“This acquisition helps keep us on track with our growth and strategic initiatives for our service area in central Illinois,” said Matt Coulter, vice president for Area Disposal.

Area Disposal has provided residential, commercial and industrial service to central Illinois since 1928.
