Leaders from Tennessee and Virginia are collaborating to identify an odor from the Bristol, Virginia landfill.

Teams will collect samples from the landfill to analyze and will share those findings during a public forum.

Independent toxicologist, Dr. Laura Green, will observe the samples and discuss her findings at the meeting, where community members will have the opportunity to ask questions about the landfill and its environmental impact.

Bristol, Tennessee created the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for residents who feel the odor has impacted them. City leaders are working to launch a new program that would provide assistance to those not eligible for the CDBG program.
