Marlborough, Mass., Council Tables Talks on Landfill Redevelopment

The City Council Monday tabled its discussion on a $3 million bond to transform the former Hudson Street landfill into a recreation area, but is expected to pick up the subject at its next meeting.
City Councilor Michael Ossing requested delaying the discussion until the City Council’s April 6 meeting due to an issue with the advertising date for public notice. The bond was advertised March 10 and the 10-day advertisement period ended Tuesday, a day after the council’s meeting.
Earlier this month, the Finance Committee recommended the City Council approve the $3 million bond for the project, but only if the city receives funds from a private donor.
