Evansville Residents Voice Concern About Poultry Waste

Evansville, Ind. residents are voicing their opinions about a proposal to bring more poultry waste to a local landfill.

Republic Services, which manages the Laubscher Meadows Landfill, has submitted a request to amend its special permit for poultry waste. While it already accepts it from a number of counties, the permit would allow Republic to accept poultry waste from a further geographic area.

Residents have said odors are already a nuisance.
