Bridgeport, W.Va., City Council Considering Taking Over Trash Collection

"To have garbage on the streets for 5,6,7 days and even longer is just intolerable and our community deserves more than that," said Kim Haws, Bridgeport City Manager.

The city of Bridgeport said it's frustrated and fed up with its lack of trash collection services from Waste Management.

"The city receives numerous complaints from our residents regarding Waste Management and their lack of service. The city's staff has met with Waste Management and their administration over the past couple months over this issue," said Haws.
