Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. (VESNA) named Jeff Adix as president and CEO.

He replaces Richard Burke, who left the company with the sale of Veolia ES Solid Waste Inc. to serve as president of Advanced Disposal Services Inc., the Chicago-based VESNA said in a news release.

Adix previously worked for VESNA from 2000 to 2009 in various senior management roles, including senior vice president of support services and chief financial officer for the solid waste business. He also was a member of VESNA’s executive committee.

Most recently, Adix served as vice president of audit advisory services for ManpowerGroup.

With the sale of its U.S. solid waste operations, VESNA operates two units in the United States, Veolia ES Technical Solutions and Veolia ES Industrial Services, which manage hazardous waste, and industrial cleaning and maintenance. VESNA also retained its Canadian solid waste business.
