Science Applications to Buy R.W. Beck

San Diego-based Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Seattle-based R.W. Beck Inc., engineering and consulting firm for the solid waste, water, wastewater and energy industries.

The purchase agreement includes Beck Disaster Recovery Inc., an emergency management firm of which R.W. Beck is the majority owner. R.W. Beck will join SAIC’s Infrastructure, Logistics and Product Solutions Group, one of four groups at SAIC.

SAIC is a scientific, engineering and technology applications company that serves customers in the U.S. Department of Defense, the intelligence community, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, other U.S. government civil agencies and various commercial markets.
