NWRA Women’s Council Opens Registration for Carts on Display Competition

The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Women’s Council has opened registration for Carts on Display, a sponsored art competition that will take place at WasteExpo, May 6-9, in Las Vegas. The carts will be judged by the Women’s Council. Entrants in the competition may supply their own 32/35-gallon or 64/65-gallon cart, or a 65-gallon cart will be provided at no charge by SSI Schaefer Systems. Entrants must decorate with artwork that promotes environmentalism and/or represents the WasteExpo theme “Meet the Future.”

“The Carts on Display arts competition organized by the Women’s Council is an opportunity for the men and women in our industry to highlight their creativity and raise money to support the work of the Women’s Council,” said NWRA Women’s Council Chair Carmen Smothers in a statement.

“The Women’s Council does great work to support the professional development of women in the waste and recycling industry. The Carts on Display arts competition supports those efforts in a fun and creative way,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith in a statement.
