The National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA) joins companies and workers throughout the United States in remembering those who did not come home from work this past year on Workers Memorial Day, April 28th.
The association asks the waste and recycling community to observe a moment of silence to remember the men and women who did not make it home safely and to protect our workers as they continue to keep our communities safe and clean.
“We need to honor those who did not complete their shift and whose families are changed forever. If we are to become a safer industry, we need remember the dead, but work to protect the living,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith.
