EPA Urges Urban Communities To Reduce Waste And Recycle

Leslie Harrison

Washington, D.C.-- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has produced a public service announcement (PSA) for radio to encourage urban residents to reduce, reuse and recycle. The PSA, in 30- and 60-second versions, features the gospel group Mighty Clouds of Joy singing about environmental awareness.

This is the second PSA produced by the EPA’s Urban African American Outreach program, and it will be played on 50 radio stations across the country. Cities include New York; Chicago; Detroit; Philadelphia; Houston; Los Angeles; Baltimore; Memphis, Tenn.; Washington, D.C.; and New Orleans.
