Coral Springs, Fla. is ending is current trash and recycling contract and entering into a new agreement with Coast Waste & Recycling.

This week, City Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the new agreement with Coast Waste & Recycling of Boca Raton to be the city’s new trash hauler. The city’s current waste and recycling contract ends in September, after which Coastal Waste & Recycling will take over.

Coastal Waste & Recycling was selected because it offered a lower price and carries a great reputation among other cities. Coral Springs will pay Coastal Waste & Recycling $5 million annually for waste, recycling, yard waste, and bulk trash services.
