Waste-to-Fuel Firm Wants Less of Beaumont, Texas Trash

The waste-to-energy company that wants to convert household garbage into biodiesel fuel has asked Beaumont City Council to reduce its intended consumption to 1,100 tons per week, down from its original 1,400 tons per week.

Fair Energy of Dallas still intends to build a processing plant between the city's landfill on Lafin Road and the wastewater treatment plant, but asked for the amended contract, which was granted Tuesday by council.
