Tri-Rail Train Collides with Truck in Lake Worth; 22 Hurt

A garbage truck belonging to Lake Worth was split in half after a northbound Tri-Rail train T-boned the disabled truck in Lake Worth this morning.

The truck driver escaped the disabled vehicle just before the train accident.

The front car of the Tri-Rail train was derailed and tilted slightly onto its side after the crash, causing heavy train delays.

Capt. Albert Borroto of Palm Beach Fire Rescue said 22 people were injured in the incident, but none seriously.
