Developer Drops 37-Year Battle to Build Indiana Landfill

The prospect of a landfill ever being built on Mallard Lake property is over.

The owners of the 254 acres at 2452 E. 300N, which included 13 acres where a landfill permit had previously been granted, have repeatedly denied allegations from a citizens group about plans to open a landfill on the property.

Last week, property owners Bex Farms Inc., along with its affiliate, 600 Land Inc., said they were going to let the landfill permit expire.
