Firefighters battled a three-alarm blaze at a recycling plant in North Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon, which sent a large plume of smoke into the skies over the Las Vegas Valley.
The fire started at 12:02 p.m. at Las Vegas Recycling, located in the 2200 block of Commerce Street, near Carey Avenue and Losee Road.
“All we did was turn around and saw it was on fire,” said Joe Mercado, who works at Las Vegas Recycling.
