Charlotte, NC Wastewater Treatment Plant Partners with Brewery to Make Beer from Recycled Water

A sustainably created beer is making waves in Charlotte, N.C. as a wastewater treatment plant is working with a local brewer.

Town Brewing, located in Charlotte, is partnering with Charlotte Water and XYLEM, a water technology company, to make beer using recycled water. The beer is aptly named Renew Brew.

Renew Brew won the award for Best in Show at the Queen City Brewers Festival blind testing. The beer can be sampled at Town Brewing’s upcoming festival but is not yet for sale.
