Waste Pro Discusses Rate Increases in Asheville, NC

Buncombe County residents will see an in increase in their monthly waste service fees following a CPI-based adjustment.

Waste Pro told county waste officials that trash pickup prices will rise to $22.16 per month beginning Jan. 1, 2023 as a result of inflation. The company contracts with Curbie for recycling services.

Waste Pro previously received rebates to offset recycling costs, but fluctuating recycling commodity prices have disrupted any ancillary funds for operations.
