Jackson, Miss. Searches for New Waste Contractor

The city of Jackson, Miss., has released an RFP for collection services, warning its residents to expect cost of service increases.

The state's Department of Environmental Quality plans to fine the city for not providing trash collection in Spring 2023. Jackson previously considered extending an emergency contract with Richard's Services, which failed to materialize before the mayor took an economic development trip to China.
