Republic Posts Net Income Of $57.6 Million In Fourth Quarter

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. — Republic Services, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., posted a net income of $57.6 million on revenues of $687.7 million during fourth-quarter 2004. During the same period in 2003, the firm reported a net income of $55.7 million on revenues of $637.9 million.

For 2004, Republic posted a net income of $237.9 million on revenues of $2.7 billion. In 2003, the firm reported a net income of $177.6 million on revenues of $2.5 billion.
