Allied Waste Posts Third-Quarter Net Income of $39.3 Million

Scottsdale, Ariz. — Allied Waste Industries Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz., posted a net income of $39.3 million on $1.45 billion in revenue during third-quarter 2005. During the same period last year, the firm posted a net loss of $20.6 million on $1.40 in revenue.

During the first six months of 2005, Allied Waste posted a net income of $56.3 million on $2.8 billion in revenue. During the first half of 2004, the firm posted a net loss of $23 million on $2.7 billion in revenue.
