Tests Show No Major Contamination Near Former East Tennessee Landfill

A former East Tennessee landfill is not the source of any major ground or water contamination, according to tests performed by the state Department of Environment and Conservation.

There had been speculation for years that the former Poplar Springs landfill in Loudon had polluted groundwater.
