Bald Eagles in Minnesota Fall Ill Near Landfill for Euthanized Animals

A bald eagle brought to a wildlife rehabilitation center in Minnesota exhibited signs of pentobarbital poisoning.

The bird was brought to the center by a resident who discovered it near the Inver Grove Heights landfill. Volunteers visited the area and discovered multiple sick eagles and birds.

The animals tested positive for pentobarbital as well as avian flu.
