Renovare Fuels, a sustainable fuels startup, has announced the launch of a $7.6 million equity raise and will then utilize proceeds to support projects to produce advanced renewable biofuels from waste.

Renovare, a UK-based startup, provides technology that turns biodegradable waste from homes and businesses into advanced, renewable biofuels. The technology captures gases produced from landfills and creates liquid biofuels from in. The new biofuels then can act as a replacement for diesel, petrol, and aviation fuel with no changes needed from engines.

The company states that its advanced renewable biofuels can cut greenhouse gas emissions by 97%.

“Securing this sustained funding will allow Renovare Fuels’ modular technology to be utilized at sites across Europe and beyond, with strong returns on investment as we continue to scale-up this pioneering technology at pace,” said Matthew Stone, Chairman at Renovare Fuels.
