Blueprints for Terrorism

If you work for the Department of Homeland Security, New York City street trash just might give you your big break. The New York Post recently found a smattering of sensitive Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) documents — including blueprints for the Atlantic Avenue subway station — scattered around a street corner in Brooklyn. The documents included such information as locations of air ducts, manholes and electrical systems. MTA officials say that they do not know where the documents came from, but they are initiating an investigation into the incident. In their quest to crack down on littering, New York City officials also could help the Big Apple take a bite out of crime.
