Jeremy began his career in the waste and recycling industry in 2005 as a graduate student intern for Casella. He gained hands-on experience in tuning, maintaining, installing and managing landfill gas collection systems. Over time, his proficiency greatly improved the company’s gas recovery investments. Over the years, Jeremy diversified his experience through direct involvement in innovative projects such as the construction of the Pine Tree Landfill gas-to-energy facility - the first of its kind in Maine - and the implementation of the first Thiopaq landfill gas sulfur treatment system in North America. Jeremy rose through the ranks to become a landfill engineer for Casella’s Maine landfills, with engineering and environmental compliance responsibilities for Juniper Ridge Landfill, Pine Tree Landfill and the Pine Tree LFGTE facility.
