In November of 2021, Steamboat Springs, Colo. got a brand new option for disposing of garbage.

The new addition to the community is called TossBox and was implemented by Eagle Valley resident Matt Donovan.

TossBox is a pay-per-dump trash service that allows users to drop off one average-sized trash bag for $5.95 with the swipe of a credit card. The service is convenient for small households, extreme recyclers who don't produce enough trash to need a regular service, and a variety of other user types.
