Two-year old Lincoln Heith is fascinated with garbage trucks. And Wednesday is his favorite day because he gets to see the trash collector.

One of the highlights of the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine is that Lincoln has had the opportunity to become friends with Ron, the Waste Management driver. On June 3, Lincoln gave Ron a Sonic gift card as a way to say thank you for his kindness.  

“Just his kindness. I think it’s truly what the world needs right now. Just everyone to be a little bit kind,” Mattie Heith, Lincoln’s mother said. “It’s just been really, really special for Lincoln — teaching him how to be kind as well.”

Lincoln and Ron now have a special interaction that re-occurs each Wednesday.
