An SFM Recycling worker who was scrapping a car watched as it spontaneously combusted Monday afternoon, May 31.

Emergency responders worked to put out the blaze at the Genola, Utah recycling facility.  Genola Volunteer Fire Department Chief William McMullin called the event a "freak thing," as the car's gas tank, fluids and battery had been removed prior to the demolition.

No employees were injured, and no buildings were damaged, according to reports.
