Companies and nonprofits across the country are honoring Earth Day (April 22) with a range of events and campaigns, all of which are dedicated to bettering the environment and reducing waste.

Earth Day, which was first celebrated in 1970, is now recognized in more than 192 countries annually, helping to increase the amount of materials that are being recycled and reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfills.

Waste360 has rounded up some Earth Day events taking place this month for you to take part in.
