Florida-based textile recycling company, Sortworthy, is relocating its business to Bentonville, Ark.
Sortworthy takes unwanted clothing and textiles and transforms them into sellable items like insulation, pillows, or other new materials. Sortworthy expects to make the move to Northwest Arkansas early this year and will create 40 jobs over the next five years.
“Textile waste is one of the most significant contributors to pollution, but the good news is that nearly 95% of used clothing can be reused or recycled,” Sortworthy said in a statement. “At Sortworthy, we see an opportunity to turn waste into resources, creating impactful solutions for a greener future.”
