Ocala, Fla. -- Florida-based RMS Communications has created a Web site, www.recycleforus.com, that accepts cell phones for recycling and reuse. The Web site allows individuals and state and local governments to send in phones in exchange for cash. Cell phones that can not be reused will be recycled. All program materials and shipping costs are free to collecting organizations, and all cell phones collected are accepted.

RMS Communications also runs a similar Web site, RecycleForCalifornia.com, which was established in April in response to a California law passed in 2004. The law requires cell phone retailers to have free take-back and recycling programs in place by 2006.
