The new recycling compactor is ready to use in Bossier Parish, La., saving the area space and money.

The new recycling compactor will be exclusively for paper and cardboard products.

“[The] new compactor and container replaced the five dumpsters that were used for several years. Those bins cost Bossier taxpayers nearly $8,000 a year to be emptied weekly,” said the Bossier Parish Police Jury, Keep Bossier Beautiful and the Bossier Sheriff’s Office.

“Parish officials believe the new compactor will increase recycling capacity and save taxpayer dollars on recycling.”
