Lincoln, Nebraska Consolidates Recycling

The city of Lincoln, Neb. has almost completed its recycling consolidation plan that is launched more than a year and a half ago.

Twelve recycling sites were narrowed down to five, with some people questioning whether that would discourage residents from participating. Instead, there has big uptick in curbside service.

Newer containers at the five sites hold five times more materials than previous ones. However, illegal dumping continues to be a problem.
