New York — The Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) has approved an additional $126 million to help New York City’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) clean up debris at the World Trade Center (WTC) site. The latest grant brings DDC’s total funding awarded to approximately $1.2 billion.
Additionally, last week FEMA gave $67 million to the New York Department of Sanitation (NYDS) to help pay for cleanup costs.
